Waking up, different from getting up,
A plane to Chicago was proof enough,
That I should just blindly trust within the universe,
You showed me it is real.
You made a change, I will never forget,
Now I wish I could show you, everything it meant,
Even if I would try, I don’t know where I’d begin,
Whatever it is, I don’t understand.
I’ll never know what you go through,
But I’d do it all again with you,
With a life that feels it's always on the go,
I just wanted you to know,
That's okay.
Now it’s harder to enjoy the view,
Feels like I stole it, all away from you,
It makes me hate myself, and what I do,
But deep inside I know that’s not quite true.
Now I’m back all alone in the van,
I’m crying ‘cause I know I’m doing all I can,
Maybe its something else, something out of my hands,
Whatever it is, I don’t understand.
I’ll never know what you go through,
But I’d do it all again with you,
With a life that feels it's always on the go,
I just wanted you to know,
That's okay.
Baby if you need me I can fit you in my schedule,
Baby when I need you can you fit me in your schedule.
It gets cold at night, cold at night,
I just wanted you to know.
Oh how I long for this album in vinyl format! Such smoothness. Such warmth. Such execution. This music begs to be taken along and woven into memories. Everyone I’ve shared this album with has loved it. The music speaks far and wide. Shouting out to a fellow follower, Brian Lehmann, for his excellent taste in music. If not for him, I likely would have never stumbled upon this absolute gem! Plinchmo Larduktin
As far as indie albums in the 2010's and beyond go, this is one of the most cohesive and emotive albums I've experienced looking back on it and is Jay Som's best album tokyonoir
A stoner-rock opera with dystopian themes, the Italian band's third LP fuses apocalyptic fury with psychedelic splendor. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 29, 2023
